BERMUDA PLATE
“Bermuda alias Somers Islands”
Diameter: 10 ½ inches.
On the reverse it says, “Coalport Bone China. Made in England. Est 1750.” and “A special re-issue to
commemorate the 375th anniversary of the colonization of Bermuda by Sir George
Somers in 1609” along with “A.S. Coopers & Sons. Ltd. Bermuda.”. The vignettes include: "Islands Of The
Great Sound", a "Bermuda Coat of Arms", "St. Peter's Church First Building 1620 Present Walls 1713", "St. Georges
during Blockade 1862", "The First Floating Dock 1869", "the Bermuda Cathedral
nearing completion 1909", "The Causeway 1871 and Boer prisoners of war camp 1901".

Summers Wrecked on the Island 1609”
Diameter: 10 ½ inches.
Blue and white in colour. Depicting many
of Bermuda points of interest of the period including, “Ireland’s Island,
Hamilton Harbour, Parliament House, Bottom of Lane, Tom Moore’s home, Front
Street and in the centre, “Sir.
George Summers Wrecked on the Island 1609.” It has the Royal Doulton backstamp
and an impressed “Royal Doulton, England” circular stamp
and underneath “Bermuda D.6342”.

Diameter: 10 inches.
Brown and white in colour. Depicting many of Bermuda points of interest of the period including,
“Ireland’s Island, Hamilton Harbour, Parliament House, Bottom of Lane, Tom Moore’s
home, Front Street and in the
centre, “Sir. George Summers Wrecked on the Island 1609.” It has the Royal
Doulton backstamp, and an impressed “Royal Doulton, England” circular stamp and
also an impressed 6-10 which indicates that it was made in 1910.

Wedgwood souvenir plate depicting in black and white an
image of a sailboat approaching the bridge. The reverse shows an image of
the “Bermuda Coat of Arms”, and
titled, “Somerset Bridge” & “Designed especially for A.S. Cooper & Sons
Ltd., Bermuda.” Also, “Wedgwood of
Etruria & Barlaston. Made in
England” and “Engraved by the Wedgwood Studios”.

ANTIQUE BERMUDA PLATE
“Inverurie” and “Bermuda”
Diameter: 11 inches
Marked on reverse “Wood Ivory Ware
England” plate. Depicting many of
Bermuda points of interest of the period including, “Paget Shore”, “Mangrove
Bay”, “Hamilton”, “Easter Lillyfield” and “End of the Harbour”. Impressed on reverse is, “W937”

BERMUDA MAP PLATE
“Discovered by Juan de Bermudez 1515”
Diameter: 10 ¾ inches
This Wedgwood plate is creamy white with gold edges,
depicting a map of Bermuda in blue. Some of the named points of interest on the
map include, “Ireland Island, Wreck Hill, Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, Cobbler’s
Island, Gibbet Island, Coral Beach, Soldier’s Point & Murray’s Anchorage“.
At the top center it says, “Discovered by Juan de Bermudez 1515”. On
the reverse it says, “Wedgwood Bone China. Made in England. Made especially for A.S. Cooper & Sons Ltd., Bermuda.
